neutral territory

While I'm trying to incorporate more color into my everyday wear, the fact of the matter is this: I'm a neutral girl at heart. For me, it doesn't get more perfect than the essentials in classic tones -- a beige trench coat, black trousers, a white button-up. These pieces are timeless because neutral hues look good on anyone and everyone. This look builds upon the notion that a neutral palette is oh-so easy to wear, especially as the weather warms up. These incredible Leila Stone sandals from ShoeDazzle inspired me to build an outfit that complemented its pops of black, white, and tan. Instead of reaching for my go-to black skinny jeans, I switched it up and wore their white counterpart (I tend to avoid white pants as I'm an absolute klutz -- but I'm happy to report that these went unstained during the photo shoot).

Next, I chose a tan babydoll top from Triple Thread OC that adds a little bohemian flair to this otherwise streamlined look. Save for my NikeFuel band (I'm really never not wearing it!), I kept accessories minimal. I wore these Pearl Triangle Stud earrings that came in my April Rocksbox. They are unique yet understated -- perfect for ladies who love some sparkle but who don't want to go overboard with accessorizing.
