sky high wedges

I love a good pair of wedges. And by "good," I pretty much mean "any." I have just always loved wedges. Maybe it's because I think they're relatively easy to walk in, or because they make my legs look way longer than they actually are. Either way, I'm a fan for life and am thus always on the hunt for a good pair. I also like wedges because you can throw them on with even the most basic of outfits and add that WOW factor without looking too done up. For instance, this uber casual outfit would have looked just fine with a pair of flats or sandals. But it would have also been pretty boring and lifeless. So I threw on these bad boy wedges and -- voilà! -- instant glam. I tend to keep my color palettes pretty safe for weekday apparel, so I gravitate toward a lot of grays, beiges, and blacks. These shorts illustrate how to wear a wild print without looking costume-y -- it's all about sticking to that palette!

I wore this outfit to the theater where my mom joined my boyfriend and I for a screening of GODZILLA, which, by the way, was pleasantly (and unexpectedly) entertaining. Interestingly enough, it was my mom's movie pick. Go, mom!
