cutoffs & wedge booties

As previously established, I love wedges. They are my go-to shoe because I get the sassiness of a high heel without the discomfort of a stiletto (usually -- there are exceptions). But what's even better than wedges? Wedge BOOTIES! It's pretty much the most perfect union in the history of shoes. I own two pairs in black and they are so versatile. You can wear them with sundresses to add a little edge or with jeans for a touch of dressiness. In this instance, I paired these wedge booties with cutoffs and a lace top because...well...because it just felt right! Cutoffs are one of my favorite items to wear, but they can often look super sloppy and unsophisticated. I made sure to pair these cutoffs with something that felt feminine and streamlined. The end result is something slightly unexpected, yet totally on-point and filled with personality. And that, my friends, is what styling is all about.
