a miami minute
Miami is one of my favorite places on the planet. The sights, sounds, smells — from the saltwater of South Beach to the café cubanos in Little Havana — there's just so much to see, hear, and consume!
Since my boyfriend has family in Miami, we're fortunate to make it there at least once a year. And, I promise, 2017 is the year I finally put together a Miami travel guide.
Until then, here's a look I wore during our last visit in December when we were in town for Art Basel. This burgundy pencil skirt is one of my favorite pieces in my closet. The color is incredibly rich and luxurious, and the cut is oh-so flattering. I picked up both the crop top and the scarf in Madrid last fall, and when I paired everything together, it just worked. I love how the plunging neckline shows off the dramatic flower appliqué.
Last but no least, I topped off this ensemble with block-heel black sandals that are actually surprisingly comfortable. I also own a pair in nude/white, and I think it might be time to invest in yet another pair — that's how essential these are!
