remixing the lbd

We all know the importance of the little black dress (or, as it's more commonly known among fashion folk, the LBD). It's absolutely essential to always have an LBD -- or two or three -- ready to go at a moment's notice. LBDs are appropriate for any and all occasions -- from brunch and birthday parties to rehearsal dinners and weddings, you really just cannot go wrong. But every once in a while, you may want to spice up the standard LBD. You may want something a little less classic and little more, well, remixed. This number from Tobi is the perfect example. This mini dress features lapels and long sleeves for that chic tuxedo-inspired look. And I'm loving the asymmetrical zip-front closure that gives off those edgy '80s rockstar vibes. The best part? This beauty is also available in white, and it's currently on sale for just $49 -- scoop it up before it's gone!

I wore a bright pink lace bralette underneath to play with the plunging neckline and add a splash of color. Last but not least, these black ankle strap heels really elevate this look from daring and risqué to fashion-forward and sophisticated.

I hope you like this look as much as I do! Share your thoughts with me in the comments below, on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook.

Cheers,

Mekita
