I've never been much of a blue jeans gal. Growing up pear-shaped, it was always difficult (if not impossible) to find a pair of jeans that fit just right. They were either too tight in the booty or too loose in the waist. Truth be told, it's still a struggle to find jeans that work for my body. But as I've gotten older, I've developed a new-found appreciation for this challenge. Although being bottom-heavy once caused me endless despair and distress, it's now a feature I flaunt with pride. (Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" is essentially my life anthem.)
What I love most about these jeans is not only do they fit like a glove, they're also the ideal mix of dark and light denim. They are incredibly versatile -- I can dress them up with a sequin top and heels or keep it casual in a sweatshirt and sneakers. For this look, I paired them with a loose, airy blouse to create a perfectly proportioned Friday afternoon ensemble. I kept the overall palette relatively neutral with dark brown suede boots and beige accessories.
