matchy matchy

I finally got around to trying out the co-ordinates trend, which involves a top and bottom in a coordinating pattern. While I'm not exactly an advocate for looking super matchy-matchy (which is why I tend to avoid color), I love this trend because it's probably the easiest way to look put together and stylish without really trying. All of the work is literally done for you. Just throw on the top, throw on the bottom, and you're good to go. And I'm all about no-fuss fashion. I wore this fabulous striped, black-and-white co-ordinates set to Omaha Fashion Week last Friday. It's from Charlotte Ronson's "I Heart Ronson" collection at -- of all places -- JCPenney! Did you even know she had a collection there? Me neither, until I randomly walked past this set one day at my local mall. I was completely awestruck. I didn't realize JCPenney had such on-trend (and affordable) apparel. You can bet I'll be frequenting JCP much more in the future.

While this particular set is sold out, I suggest perusing the co-ordinates at Missguided. This British line is super fashion-forward and offers sets in a variety of fun colors and patterns -- not to mention free shipping to the U.S. and Canada on orders over $65! Well, what are you waiting for?
