viva la orange

Confession: I've owned this dress for five years. And I've worn it twice. Okay, I take that back. Maaaaaaybe three times. And I already know what you're thinking: "What?! But it's so cute and fun! Wouldn't you want to wear it everyday?" Well here's the thing: one downside to this dress is its wrinkle-prone fabric. It's one of those dresses that gets wrinkly if you breathe. You know what I'm talking about, right? And why is it that the cutest stuff is usually the most likely to get wrinkly? UGH IT'S THE WORST. Hence, this rarely gets worn because it just gets super wrinkly and then I get mad. But I also can't get rid of it because it's so. damn. fun. I love the classic, oh-so-flattering empire waist with the fuller skirt. And of  course, how can you go wrong with a halter cut? SO Marilyn, am I right?

So I gave this number a quick little steaming and it was like new! (Amazing what a steamer can do, by the way. It's a must-have for any serious fashionista.) I paired this bright orange beauty with beige wedges, gold hoop earrings, and tortoise sunglasses for a warm, quintessential summer look.
