desert lust

You know how some people have a signature print? Like some people can really pull off floral or (god bless 'em) animal prints like they were born to do just that? Well...I am not one of those individuals. I'm way too indecisive to have a signature anything. However, there are prints that I tend to gravitate toward. At the top of that list? Tribal. Definitely. Maybe it's because I'm such a sucker for that desert, sun-soaked, cacti-infested Southwestern aesthetic (I did live in Arizona, after all) -- but I buy a lot of tribal print. I suppose what's so fun about tribal print is that you can find it in many colors and patterns, so it's a fun print to experiment with. In this case, I'm head over heels in love with the dusty, rustic, red/green/brown/black palette on this dress. It's pretty much my ideal palette. I topped off the look with black/gold accessories to keep everything streamlined and complementary.
